Wine on the mind.

Posted by on Apr 5, 2009

When you’re a hip, young wino trying to deliver the best quality wine in a unique and fresh fashion, no time is left for well, pretty much anything else including drinking wine. (Check me into an asylum if that last part were true.) In my world wine is my life blood. A passion that drives everything I do. So, I want you all to know, we at WineGirl Wines are feverishly planning our new year. But with spring and summer around the corner (here in Seattle we still have April to swim through before its actually spring) there’s no real wine in site. What’s a girl to do?

Well, let’s start with what a girl has done. 2009 brought much consternation as we called it a day on the Firá 2007 releases hailing from Red Mountain, Washington. A few bottles remain, but are locked tightly in the library for a the next rainy season. It’s true. We sold all of our wine in what I might call an extremely successful debut of wines, including being featured at three auctions*. So, how do we get more and where are we going to put it since (as many of you know) we lost our Ravenna digs?

Upon consulting our crystal wine glass, Sammamish was our next destination, and should all go as plan this Tuesday we will be official. Nearly immediately we plan to bring several fine lots of Washington wines to the space and hopefully just as quickly to fill the derth in our inventory. Wish us luck.
