Chelan: May 15th-16th, 2009
This weekend we had a guest visitor added to the redneck crew: Benrique, Javier’s long lost brother. He was certainly a welcome addition to the chainsaw committee, leaving no tree standing. We moved truckload after truckload of fallen wind breaks again, and still didn’t completely clear the road. We did find two new friends. Sallie and Saul, the blue-tailed Skinks. And we did have great luck in the agua department this time. Javier and Ricardo managed to hit the jackpot spewing irrigation water out of every broken PVC pipe. The verdict: New irrigation system. This past weekend, we initiated the new winery with three barrels of 2008 wine, and it was a relatively painless process. wink wink. Javier only lost one finger! J/K Anyway, we’ve welcomed our newest additions to the inventory family. A 2008 merlot, cab franc, a cab sav all Washington state wines. We’re soon to round out our family with some 2007′s moving in the next month.
