Wilson pipe here we come! We’re off to pick up the miles of irrigation pipe needed to fill sweat dug trenches! We also got 18/10 or 10 core irrigation wire from S&W pipes to run the dozen electrical valves. It’s a real spinkler system we’ve got here, fully automated and all. I say, all the vineyardos will be jealous of Ricardo Vineyardo’s pipes.
Pipe loading is boring when you’re 5’4″.
OMG! How long does it take to pick up pipe? We gotta go to Lowes then, Starbucks, then Home Depot. Krappe it’s already 1:00 PM. It won’t be 2 till we get back to the lot.
Finally, back at the lot!
Agh. The pressure’s on. We came to put pipes in the ground and we’ve yet to complete our task and it’s the hottest part of the last day and we have to be home at 6 for dinner with grandparents! We’re out of TIME!
But without fail, we plunged through the 88° heat and sowed up one block of 12 rows of feed line and more than half of the mainline pipes. It looks like chinese chopsticks along our new road!
Time to head back to Seattle in the morning, write a paper, say good bye to a dear dear friend, check on Charlie and Chi Chi… Real life has got to happen somewhere in between! So much work! but our team of three has really congealed into the Green Woman Hill group. We’ve learned what assess are for (idea reservoirs) and we’ve come up with more than enough ridiculous puns to last a lifetime. What’s next? I guess we’ll be back for more in July!
Bubbye,

Hello Hello from your neighbors at seisto ceilo. we are the owners of parcel D. We were last over on memorial day weekend and were impressed with all of the work you had accomplished by that point. We also met Brian and Debra Patterson (Parcel F) We plan to head over for a long weekend on friday so will be interested to see all the new accomplishments…. next trip is planned for 3-6 July. we are renting a tractor and will be working on diging out the remaining big apple trees and poplar trees up on the flat part on top. will be interested in discussing your findings on irrigation supplies, etc. look forward to meeting you! Joan and Jan short
Hello! So nice to meet you too! I’ll pass your note on to the permanent residents of the Chelan area as we are Seattlites, as well. Our next trip over the mountains may be soon enough although not sure when. I’m curious to know what size tractor you will be renting as we were told something industrial would be need to get those apples out of the ground! Perhaps we could combine interests and do the job all at once. They say many hands makes light work! Anyway, I’ll let you know if we find out more.
Cheers,
WineGirl
Hello from Debra and Brian, the owners of parcel F (next to you and south of Joan and Jan). Looking forward to meeting you all someday soon, hopefully. We will be doing a little work on our property the weekend of July 18th. Along with Brian’s sister, Tara, and her husband, Todd, who may be working on their own parcel, which is next to ours to the east. Brian and I would love to have a vineyard on the lower acres of our 5-acre lot as well. We were delighted to hear that you are puting in a vineyard! Do you own the 10-acre lot or could you get us in touch with the owners? Good luck to you all. Maybe we will see you in July. Debra
Hi Debra and Brian,
Nice to hear from you. It looks like July will be pretty booked for us in Seattle, here so we won’t make it back until August. But, hopefully once we do make it out there we’ll get several weeks worth of work in.
Cheers!
