As the end of the month nears, we add the last WgotW post to July with a second visit from three couples converging on Manson, Washington from all over the globe and seeking shelter from our most recent torrential downpour and thunderstorm. The night held sporadic conversation from stories of lightning strikes to old man smells and butterfly bushes. This week’s WineGirls of the Week stopped in July 17th on a celebratory night trip from Wenatchee. Marcella and her husband were celebrating 40 years of wedded bliss and devotion. Congratulations and a toast to many more years! Below (from left to right) you’ll find WineGirls Diana, Marcella, Sandi, and Cindy with husbands in tow. The whole lot celebrated with a gourmet Che-Sal-O plate (cheese, salami, and olives) and bottle of 2007 Walla Walla Valley Kamari Black Label Reserve. But nonetheless, we had our inaugural Bocce Ball tournament on the lawn this past week featuring five friends wandering in from Wapato Point.
