Angela aka WineGirl
WineGirl Wines is owned by Angela Jacobs, an ambitious winemaker and entrepreneur, who also plays a little roller derby in her spare time.
For five years prior to WineGirl Wines, she worked around the world at unique wineries studying the fine art of wine making under the tutelage of renowned and inspiring winemakers. In 2007, she started her portfolio of wines sourced from succulent Washington grapes, and has yet to look back.
Note from WineGirl:
My career path in the wine industry began after trying an Archery Summit Pinot Noir while working a part-time job in college. The next quarter I studied Dante’s Divine Comedy where my final project was titled the Wine Levels of Hell. After traveling for three years working wine harvests and learning wine making techniques from renowned winemakers, I returned to the Pacific Northwest for a job as Laboratory Manager in Oregon. There, I developed a state-of-the-art, quality control laboratory and managed several harvest interns. But soon after, I decided it was time to play fiddle to my personal wine making dreams.
In 2007 I moved to Seattle and set up a small production site in the Ravenna neighborhood. As a nano-winery specializing in seriously friendly Washington wines, production has increased by nearly 100% through direct-to-consumer online sales, word-of-mouth sales, and wholesale channels. Currently, we’re growing our Classy and Sassy portfolio of wines to serve our beloved winos!

Jonathan aka Javier
The Blending Room would not run without the endless encouragement and hard work of Sales & CellarMaster Javier aka Jonathan.
Since the inception of the winery, Jonathan has worked diligently as the CellarMaster coordinating production operations and developing the manufacturing techniques employed by our nano-Winery. He has also worked closely with other boutique wineries to learn new production skills and build long-lasting relationships with our mentors and friends.
Jonathan’s duties include management and wine making support including all aspects of harvest operations, winery operations and maintenance. Secondary support duties also include sales, customer schmoozing, and Disco Party Chair. When he’s not coordinating, he’s expanding his portfolio of ecstatic records, eclectic 8-tracks, and expected iTunes library of music. He might even be known to put the exp in KEXP.

Andrew aka HRH Guillermo
HRH Guillermo is a wine angel fallen from the sky. Guillermo, more commonly known as Andrew, has joined Team Wino this summer of 2011 as the third member of WineGirl Wines here at The Blending Room.
He fits right in with our crazy wine lives, and has hit the ground running with the grace and elegance harkening British royal princesses as we’ve thrown wine racking, barrel cleaning, wine bottling and all around sales stoogery his way. Andrew, you make us proud. Welcome to the team.
Stop in and offer Andrew a warm welcome, then order him around a little bit. On occasion when we can spare him, Andrew can also be found down the road pimping his skills at Café Manson or keeping up general Mayoral duties of Manson at Buddy’s Place.

Write-up coming soon.

Wine Stooges
It’s all about the wine. It’s all for the people, our beloved wine stooges.
John Deere and Jimmy Buffett
On July 4th, after the fireworks show, we wandered down to the end of Wapato Point in Manson to hang with some of our best wine stooges, Peggy and Steve. This is when I learned of Steve’s John Deere fanaticism (among his other fanaticism for Jimmy Buffett). He grew up in John Deere land North Dakota on an alfalfa farm. We bonded. I’m not sure if this means I too will become a Jimmy Buffet fan. What is it, Margaritaville? We’re located at the entrance to Wapato Point, so Peggy and Steve often cruise down to The Blending Room...
