Where’s Wino? Chantanee.

One place in the Greater Seattle area that you can enjoy our Kamari Black Label Reserve is a little place called Chantanee Thai Restaurant in beautiful Bellevue, Wash. This restaurant boasts excellent SE Asian cuisine and its very own craft bar, the Naga Lounge. The main man behind the bartop is Mister Michael McSorley. He has a way with mixing flavors and can explain the history and chemistry behind the drink in front of you and why it tastes just right.

We are lucky to have Chantanee featuring our 2007 Kamari Black Label Reserve Red Wine Blend. It’s a bold wine that can stand up to Thai spices about as well as any wine. Not an easy feat.

It’s worth the trip to chat with a fine mixologist about all things booze and enjoy some spicy eats between revelations.

UPDATE: Barman Mike has moved on from Chantanee to bigger and better things. You can still go there to find our 2007 Kamari Black Label Reserve. Follow Mike and his drink making adventures at McSology.

Where’s Wino? Update.

IMG_5819

A very good question we at WineGirl Wines are often asked is, “Where can I find your wines?” A full list of places with our wines can be found on these pages and winegirlwines.com. Every so often I provide a spotlight on one of these places. Soon I’ll be telling you all about Chantanee Thai Restaurant. Today, though, I’ll just give a little update on who’s carrying what.

Chantanee Thai Restaurant and the Naga Lounge are featuring our Kamari Black Label Reserve Red Wine Blend on their menus. Chantanee and Naga are located in Bellevue, Wash.

Marketime is showing off our ‘My Derby Wife’ 2007 Merlot. It’s easy to spot on the shelves with the roller derby lady in black and white on the label. They’re also carrying our 2008 Firá Chardonnay in the chilled wine section. Marketime is in Fremont, Seattle. Check out my previous ‘Where’s Wino?’ about Marketime.

Malt & Vine has our ’07 Kamari Black Label Reserve available on their shelves. They also have our ’08 Firá Chardonnay. Malt & Vine is in Redmond, Washington. Take a look at the ‘Where’s Wino?’ Malt & Vine edition.

QFC in Issaquah and South Mercer Island have the last remaining bottles of our 2007 Kamari Cabernet Franc in Western Washington. We don’t even have any for sale through our website. For this delicious Washington Cab Franc you’ll have to make the drive.

Cellar 46 has sold out of our 2007 Kamari Malbec, but they still have our Firá Chardonnay on the shelves. Cellar 46 is located in North Mercer Island, WA. Expect a ‘Where’s Wino?’ feature on Cellar 46 sometime soon.

The Vogue displays our fine ’07 Kamari Cabernet Franc and Kamari Malbec. Supplies of both are low, low, low. The Vogue is in beautiful Chelan, WA just down the road from our new tasting room.

As always, all our wines are available for sale online through our shopping cart. We’ll pack it up with love and mail it off to you.

And soon, our wines will be available for tasting and purchase at our very own public location, The Blending Room, in Lake Chelan, WA.

UPDATE:

Vines of the Valley in Manson, Washington is now carrying our 2008 Firá Chardonnay and our 2007 My Derby Wife Merlot. When you visit Lake Chelan, check out this new wine lounge and beer bar that’s part of the good ol’ Village Market & Deli.

Lake Chelan Cheese in Manson is now carrying WineGirl Wines‘ 2008 Firá Chardonnay. They’ve opened their doors to the public offering fine domestic and imported cheeses as well as beer and wine by the glass.

Where’s Wino? Marketime.

We are very excited to have our wines in our local grocery, Marketime. We have lived in Fremont, Seattle within blocks of this great market for 7 or 8 years now and enjoy having a good selection of supplies, food and treats so close. They definitely have a great beer and wine selection which I’ve been taking advantage of as long as I’ve been a customer. And now the special bottles of WineGirl Wines are part of that great wine selection. It’s a big wall of wine, but have a close look and you’ll spot 2007 Kamari Cabernet Franc. The 2008 Firá Chardonnay is around the corner in the white wine cooler. If you don’t already know about Marketime, take a little roadtrip for a visit. After you’ve grabbed a bottle, take a look around for their house-made sausage and delicious chocolate cake. It could be quite a night.

Marketime is in Fremont at 4416 Fremont Ave N, Seattle, WA, 98103.

UPDATE:

The 2007 Cab. Franc is sold out, but Marketime is now carrying WineGirl Wines’ 2007 ‘My Derby Wife’ Merlot in addition to the 2008 Firá Chardonnay.

Where’s Wino? Malt & Vine.

IMG_5819

For those following along at home, the rules to the game have changed. In an effort to get our followers out and into the shops that are carrying WineGirl’s bottles on their shelves, we’re taking Where’s Wino? to the real world (in part). Here’s how it works:
1. We will post on this weblog, the name of a particular new retail shop that are carrying our wines.
2. You will go to the shop and take a photo of yourself next to our bottles on the shelf (everybody’s got a camera-phone, right).
3. You will submit the photo to us by email.
4. We will display the first photo of the correct location on the blog.
5. We will award the winning wino a fabulous prize.

And so, for the next installment of Where’s Wino? we’re sending you to Malt & Vine in Redmond, WA. It’s a lovely little shop that sells beer and wine to go and pours glasses to enjoy there and then. They have many interesting and seldom seen beers of the world available in bottle and on tap. Their wine selection is full of obscure labels from the Northwest and around the world. It’s a very intriguing collection of fine wines. If you’re into more than the usual bottles in the beer and wine aisle, Malt & Vine is worth checking out.

This is what our wines look like on the shelves without you there posing in the shot. They are carrying WineGirl Wines’ 2007 Kamari Cabernet Franc and our 2008 Firá Chardonnay. You don’t have to buy anything from the shop, but it may be hard to leave without something, and it certainly wouldn’t hurt the cause. Have fun.
