We love to feature the retail shops that show us some love. The Where’s Wino? section highlights some of the amazing wine shops around town. We even like to make it a little guessing game sometime to have some fun with it. If you find one of our wines, send us a photo of yourself with the wine and we’ll even feature you too.
Pairing wine with… Rollergirls!?!
Tomorrow (Friday April 29th from 6-8pm), at Wine World Warehouse in the University District of Seattle I will be pouring the largest selection of My Derby Wife wines ever. This new release of SMALL lot wines with very limited availability will be featured for one night only, not only by me, but by 100 of my closest rollergirl friends. We’ll be there, hip-checkin’ and wine swirlin’ all while elegantly in our natural form: ON SKATES! Meet the rollergirls each representing their featured wines: 2007 Killer Bee-otch Merlot 2008...

The Wine Loft is a great wine shop in Olympia, Washington. This shop received high praise from 100% of the three people I know who live in Olympia. That caught my attention because all three have very different interests but all appreciate honestly unique spots to visit. I stopped into The Wine Loft on a short trip to Olympia and was impressed with the approachability of the owners and the wine selection. This is the wine shop I want in my town because it has friendly folks behind the counter who listen to what customers want and genuinely...

UPDATE: Our wines are no longer available at Cicada but we still invite you to reminisce by reading this old post. There are now several great places to enjoy our wines in Olympia, Wash. The newest is Cicada Restaurant and Lounge on Fourth Avenue in downtown Oly. There you can discover some fine comfort food dining up front. Or you can make your way through the restaurant and have some sips in the lovely back lounge. Either way you will certainly find an inviting atmosphere to savor high quality food and drink. A scan of their menu shows...

One of the newest places to find our wines is in Renton, WA at the Red House. They feature fine food and a large selection of beers and wines from local makers and from around the world. They say the atmosphere is “sophisticated and casual” and I would agree. I recently poured our Firás and Kamaris at their weekly Wednesday wine tasting event. Trucking over from Manson was a journey, but worth the trip. The Red House is a cozy place. People were very friendly and in good spirits throughout the night sharing stories and laughs...

One place in the Greater Seattle area that you can enjoy our Kamari Black Label Reserve is a little place called Chantanee Thai Restaurant in beautiful Bellevue, Wash. This restaurant boasts excellent SE Asian cuisine and its very own craft bar, the Naga Lounge. The main man behind the bartop is Mister Michael McSorley. He has a way with mixing flavors and can explain the history and chemistry behind the drink in front of you and why it tastes just right. We are lucky to have Chantanee featuring our 2007 Kamari Black Label Reserve Red Wine...

A very good question we at WineGirl Wines are often asked is, “Where can I find your wines?” A full list of retail places with our wines can be found on this page. Every so often I provide a spotlight on one of these places. Soon I’ll be telling you all about Chantanee Thai Restaurant. Today, though, I’ll just give a little update on who’s carrying what. Chantanee Thai Restaurant and the Naga Lounge are featuring our Kamari Black Label Reserve Red Wine Blend on their menus. Chantanee and Naga are located in...

We are very excited to have our wines in our local grocery, Marketime. We have lived in Fremont, Seattle within blocks of this great market for 7 or 8 years now and enjoy having a good selection of supplies, food and treats so close. They definitely have a great beer and wine selection which I’ve been taking advantage of as long as I’ve been a customer. And now the special bottles of WineGirl Wines are part of that great wine selection. It’s a big wall of wine, but have a close look and you’ll spot 2007 Kamari Cabernet...

For those following along at home, the rules to the game have changed. In an effort to get our followers out and into the shops that are carrying WineGirl’s bottles on their shelves, we’re taking Where’s Wino? to the real world (in part). Here’s how it works: 1. We will post on this weblog, the name of a particular new retail shop that are carrying our wines. 2. You will go to the shop and take a photo of yourself next to our bottles on the shelf (everybody’s got a camera-phone, right). 3. You will submit the...
