Girl’s Night Out! It was a tasting for the ladies at the small wine bar in Magnolia called Swirl. Local winemaker, yours truly, and cellarmaster stud Jon arrived about 5:45PM to set up. They had a little table ready near the door for us, very cozy. We set up the Firá Chardonnay on a little ice bath and then pulled the cork on the Kamari Malbec. It’s big work to prepare for even a small wine release event. This most recent event was to be for our 2007 Kamari Malbec. The preparations for ‘Movies and Malbec’ were to be minimal. We planned for a relaxed night of films projected large outdoors with good friends, the perfect setting to unveil a lovely new wine. The weather, however, looked uncooperative.
