Release Party Summer 2010

This year’s wine release party was a grand success. It was WineGirl Wines‘ first party in our new location on Lake Chelan, so the celebration was a belated grand opening party too. We had a great turn out from old and new wino friends. We premiered five newly bottled wines and each was paired with a cheese provided by our neighbor, Lake Chelan Cheese. There was food, music, and lots of good conversation.

Later in the night, we projected black and white 16mm films on our newly unveiled covered deck. The weather was fine and it was a lovely evening for sitting outside and chatting over a glass of vino. And even later in the night, films gave way to an impromptu disco dance party.

Thanks to everyone who came out to help us release these new wines to the waiting world. Thanks, also, to the special folks that became our very first wine club members. It was great fun and we look forward to seeing you here next time.

WgotW – August 4th

WineGirl of the Week

Last week I had the pleasure of sharing my wines and having a phenomenal chat with the owners of a small business in an industry that I consider to be the perfect compliment to the wine industry: COFFEE. Last week owners of San Diego’s The West Bean coffee roasters came in to The Blending Room try some wines. Friends from left to right below Paul, Julie, Brooke and Dan stopped in on a sweet Lake Chelan vacation for a little wine tasting.

I wish you all the best guys! I find it so inspiring and such a treat to share ideas with fellow entrepreneurs!

Cheers,

WgotW – July 28th

WineGirl of the Week

As the end of the month nears, we add the last WgotW post to July with a second visit from three couples converging on Manson, Washington from all over the globe and seeking shelter from our most recent torrential downpour and thunderstorm.

The night held sporadic conversation from stories of lightning strikes to old man smells and butterfly bushes. There may even have been an offer to sell a used crusher/destemmer from the Boeing Wine Clubs’ stock of equipment. But Jim held the stage waxing poetic with the quote of the evening: “We’d give up moonshine for this.”

Readers, I’ll have you know Jim and Susan came all the way from the Land of Moonshine to hang with Jonathan and Angela. It was a pleasure to witness their moonshine-to-wine conversion over a bottle of 2007 Kamari Black Label Reserve by WineGirl Wines.

Below (from left to right) you’ll find Wine Converts Jim & Susan from Tennessee, Dandelion Wine Makers Connie & Mick from London, and Mary & Bob all the way from Covington, WA enjoying their favorite new Kamari wine for the second night in a row.

Thanks for stopping in guys! Look for our new Dandelion Wine next spring!**

WgotW – July 14th

WineGirl of the Week

The sun is shining and the boats are floating. This week’s edition netted something from the murky depths of Lake Chelan.

The Latest Dance Craze...

(From left to right) WineGuy Jeremy, Boomer, and WineGirl Wench Hayley show us what all the kids are doing. THE SQUID. That’s what happens when the name Kamari rhymes with a certain food.

The latest craze: THE SQUID

THE SQUID

Thanks again for stopping in, guys. You have shown us the light. Just like all the finest wineries of Europe, we will now be offering a free squid pairing* with our portfolio of wines. Glad you enjoyed the dance-off at The Blending Room on the North Shore of Lake Chelan in Manson, WA.

Cheers,

WineGirl

WgotW – June 30th

WineGirl of the Week

Our WineGirl of the Week for June 30th arrived in summer style from the wet side. Saira came with five of her friends to experience the Lake Chelan-dependence weekend! And like every year it will be a weekend to remember.

Saira’s Saturday activities included the Manson Farmer’s Market at the Manson Grange as well as the Manson Public Library book sale before she came to hang out at The Blending Room to sip a succulent glass of our Firá Chardonnay. Saira’s heading to a BBQ tonight and of course watching the Chelan fireworks before she’s off to bed to catch some beauty rest for Sunday.

Why does she need to rest up for Sunday, you ask? Well, Sunday is jam-packed with Kiwanis BBQ Chicken and the annual classic car show Rods and Wheels. My oh my! But then, what better way to end a July 4th weekend than with a second showing of booms and bangs sure to delight. The little village on the bay will host the Fourth of July fireworks for all to see. I sure can’t wait!

Good luck Saira! We hope you can fit it all in and get some serious sun time before heading back to Seattle. It was a pleasure to host you and your friends!

Busy Bee Saira

Cheers,
WineGirl
