Stunning Rosé

Just wanted to thank you for the stunning Derby Wife 2012 Rosé you exchanged with me for the wine from Gray Monk Cellars in BC. My name is Marilyn and I was out your way a few weeks ago. I shared it with family tonight and we paired it with shrimp, pasta with a beef rose sauce and salad. It was absolutely delicious. At first I thought it was a Pinot Rosé but think it must have been Syrah from the lovely spicy lingering finish. Nice job! I enjoyed my visit to Manson/Chelan and will definitely be back to experience more excellent wines from your region. Visited 10 wineries and so only half there. Have a great season and looking forward to seeing you again.

…so good that I ended up becoming a wine club member.

I stumbled upon this tasting room during a wine tasting trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and down to earth. The back area was comfortable to sit in and enjoy a glass of wine while listening to the flamenco guitarist they had invited for the evening. The wine they offered was the best I tried throughout my tastings that day - so good that I ended up becoming a wine club member. They are also dog friendly.

This place was great!

This place was great! Right on main street in Manson, with a fun little side yard to sit in and some sweet dogs roaming and ready to greet you. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and sat in the sunshine with friends while trying several Blending Room wines. This is a small operation, but a must visit if you're in the area. I particularly liked the My Derby Wife red- my friend and I bought it. I also appreciated that they didn't charge me for the tasting because it was my birthday :)

…and all that were delicious on the tongue.

The Blending Room was just a few steps from where I was staying (Mountain View Lodge) and I received a coupon for a wine tasting at the Blending Room. We had already went to Vin du Lac and pulled into the lot of the The Blending Room. From the view from the lot, one can tell that the atmosphere of TBR is relaxed and at ease. There are rustic chairs out in the grass if you prefer to sip your wine outside in the sunshine graced by the gentle breeze from the lake. When approaching the entrance you're greeted by one of the friendly dogs. When we entered, we were greeted by another friendly dog. It wasn't super busy as I believe we went during Lake Chelan's "off season", but the ladies that were running the show were very personable and welcomed us in. I don't remember the names of all the wines we tasted as this was my first time going wine tasting, but they were good wines. Each wine has a distinct aroma, none that were unpleasant, and all that were delicious on the tongue. The Blending Room is standing room only, so you have to stand while tasting or as mentioned go outside and sit. They also have cute souvenirs like shot glasses shaped like beakers and t-shirts with their logo. The ambiance is relaxed, as mentioned, sparkling lights dangling from the ceiling in clear wine bottles that probably set a gentle mood when the lights get low and take your time to count the owls hidden in various places in the building as well as on some of the wine labels. The young ladies running the place were very interactive and social. They even knew what Yelp! was as I was checking in. Going to the Blending Room was a very pleasant experience, even as a novice taster like myself.

You go girl

Just wanted to get back with you, I enjoyed talking with you when we were in Chelan. I look forward to coming back!! I went to your Facebook page and hit like, I plan on using the wine I bought for our 50th Anniversary celebration (basket auction). We also do a wine tasting scavenger hunt as a fund raiser; next one in 2014. You make this old woman proud: aka the (women’s lib thing) I hope for much success in your endeavors.

and the amazing wine dogs.

The grounds are more industrial than beautiful,, although they seem to be improving it, but you doont go here for vineyards or lakes views - you go for the super personable people and the amazing wine dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our time tasting some pretty decent wines and rubbing dogs' tummies. The server was fantastic and enthusiastic about her craft. I could imagine chilling out there on a nice hot day in the evening. I will be visiting again for sure.

the wine, the people and the location!

Love everything about the Blending Room - the wine, the people and the location! Whenever we are in town you are likely to find us there on late afternoon/early evening lounging in an Adirondack chair out front (even in the winter when there's a nice big bonfire). Our favorites on the wine side are the Malbec and the Viognier, but for xmas gifts 2 years ago we gave away a couple cases of the Kamari Black Label Blend and keep getting thank you's from our friends to this day. Angela and crew are great, they greet us by name no matter how long it has been since we have stopped in and always make sure we have what we need. It's a good place for parents to go taste wine b/c you will find your kids have a couple ways to stay occupied - our kids love Angela's dog Quincy and are known to pass the time while we are drinking wine by alternating between playing with the dog, playing bocce, or running around in the grass. Summers are great because they always have some food on the weekends, one summer it was wood-fired pizzas and last summer it was apps from Café Manson. A quick note to Brenda A. who didn't have a great experience - I highly recommend you give them another try. We probably arrived there that same day not too long after you left and Angela told us it was one of her busiest days ever and a couple large groups arrived around the same time to cap off the day - she was worried that someone who came during that time might have been scared away... so she was keenly aware of what was going on that day... I bet you will go away feeling better next time.

one can’t-miss stop on your personal wine tour.

My favorite wine and favorite tasting room in the area -- okay, confession: in the world. We look forward to our annual pilgrimage all year and the chance to watch the sun set with a glass of cab franc and the fabulous tasting room dog. The owner, Angela, is friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about her own wines and everything else in the valley. This is the one can't-miss stop on your personal wine tour.

Awesome wine & a lot of laughter!

I went and visited this winery with my sisters & mom just this month! We absolutely loved it! Such amazing girls! Awesome wine & a lot of laughter! You definitely have to go check out this fun winery in Manson. We can't wait to come back! Thank you girls for a memorable time :)

with busloads of people

We had a four o clock appointment for our tasting. Apparently this was not planned out well, as when we walked in, it was the "chocolate and wine" tasting time, with busloads of people in this small tasting room. We had to wait 15 minutes to get our tasting started. Since the other large tasting was going on, the people running the tasting kept getting confused on which wine we were on, and thought we were with the other group, so an entirely different tasting. As for the wines, we didnt find any wines were excited about, and did not purchase any. Between the crowds and mediocre wine, I will skip this winery next trip.

And the wines are really good, too!

This is one of our favorite wineries in the Lake Chelan area. It's actually in Manson and the owners are very hospitable. And the wines are really good, too! The Viogner and their reds are fantastic! They have different labels and different price points, so there is something for everyone. Stop by for a tasting or to enjoy a glass and some snacks on their deck or the lawn. They started having music which sounds like a lot of fun, and we make a point of visiting every time we are in Chelan and usually come away with a bottle or two, and belong to their wine club. I highly recommend visiting them - it's an unpretentious small winery putting out some really quality wine!

Love!

Love the Kamari Cabernet Franc!

Love it here!

Love it here! Great wines and great people. It is nice that it is next to a cheese shop and minutes from my house. Thanks to the Blending Room the downtown Manson area is being revitalized. Not a lot of choices right now. I like the "this is what we do, and we do it well attitude." The building and grounds have been completely redone by the sweat and hard work of the owner. She did a great job and I cannot wait to go back!

Excellent Chardonnay and Malbec

Excellent Chardonnay and Malbec, right on the strip in Manson. Away from busy Chelan, this place has excellent prices and a surprisingly good cheese and salami plate. Owner/operator is always there so you always get top-notch service. Went there several times over 4th of July weekend and was very happy with experience each time. Definitely worth the ten minute drive from Chelan proper.
